Nigerian superstar Fireboy has announced the release date for his much-anticipated fourth album, titled Adedamola, set to drop on August 29, 2024. This album marks a potential shift in tone for Fireboy, moving away from the hedonistic vibes of his previous album Playboy towards more personal and introspective themes, hinted at by the album’s title, which is his first name.

Adedamola comes two years after the release of Playboy, which included hit singles like “Bandana” featuring Asake and the title track “Playboy.” Fans are eagerly awaiting the new album, which will feature singles such as “Yawa” and “Obaa Sima” from 2023, along with the recent track “Everyday.” While the full tracklist is yet to be revealed, expectations are high for a blend of introspective lyrics and Fireboy’s signature melodies, possibly featuring collaborations with both Nigerian and international artists.
