FIFA is set to announce the venues and stadiums for the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States this Saturday, September 28, 2024. The announcement will be made by FIFA President Gianni Infantino at Central Park during the Global Citizen Festival, a music event aimed at defeating poverty.
The 32-club tournament will take place from June 15 to July 13, 2025, featuring top clubs from around the world. Some of the qualified teams include Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich from Europe, and River Plate, Boca Juniors, and Flamengo from South America.
However, the tournament has faced opposition from the global players' union FIFPro, citing concerns about adding to an already crowded schedule and increasing player workload. The Club World Cup will coincide with the CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament on the West Coast, with most games expected to be held at East Coast venues.
The United States will also co-host the 2026 World Cup with Mexico and Canada. FIFA has yet to announce broadcast partners for the tournament.
