Nigerian actor Femi Adebayo’s acclaimed film Jagun Jagun has bagged seven nominations at the prestigious Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) 2024. The nominations were unveiled during a ceremony held at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, attended by prominent figures in the African film industry.
Jagun Jagun secured nominations in key categories, including Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Achievement in Costume Design, Production Design, Makeup, Visual Effects, the NFVCB Award for Best Nigerian Film, and the Ousmane Sembene Award for Best Film in an African Language.
The 20th edition of AMAA, themed “Celebrating African Creativity,” will feature major events such as the AMAA Africa Night of Legends, the AMAA Africa Fashion Show, and the grand AMAA Gala Night. This year’s awards are being held in partnership with the Lagos State government and will highlight African talent and innovation in filmmaking.
