Eminem calls out Grammy Awards, says voting process is “Fake”

Eminem has once again thrown shots at the Grammy Awards, calling the entire voting process a scam designed to boost ratings rather than honor real musical achievements.

Following the 67th Grammys, which took place on January 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the rap icon made it clear that he’s done with the show—for good.

According to Eminem, the Recording Academy consistently uses big-name artists like himself for clout, only to turn around and hand awards to lesser-known acts. In a recent interview, he didn’t hold back, questioning the legitimacy of the entire selection process.

“That vote is fake as fvck, that is not a real vote,” he said, emphasizing that the winners are handpicked by the Academy instead of being fairly chosen.

The Detroit rapper made it clear that he’s not upset about losing—at least not if it’s to an artist with real impact. “If I lose to fvcking Kanye or someone that I’m like okay, I respect that,” he explained. “I know who that is, and Kanye has a huge following, he made a massive impact on music…”

But what really grinds his gears is how the Grammys repeatedly nominate popular artists to drive up viewership, only to “stiff everybody every single fvking time.”

Eminem’s frustration with the award show isn’t new. He has a long history of calling out the Recording Academy, dating back to his early days in the industry. But this time, he’s making his stance permanent.

“Don’t ever ask me to fvcking come here again, please do not ask me,” he declared. “My answer is No, for 100 million years. Never again will I fvcking go to the Grammy.”
