The drama between gospel heavyweight Mercy Chinwo and her former label boss, EeZee T, has taken a new turn.
After a heated online back-and-forth over an alleged contract breach, EeZee T has publicly declared his willingness to make peace. But is it genuine, or just another power move?
The gospel music executive, who built EeZee Conceptz into a powerhouse, revealed he is open to mediation—this time with neutral professionals stepping in to analyze all necessary documents and “uncover the truth.” This comes on the heels of a major legal battle involving a $345,000 fraud case and the court’s recent order for the arrest of Mercy’s former manager.
In a video shared on Instagram, EeZee T accepted an invitation from renowned investment coach Dr. Stephen Akintayo, who wants to broker peace between the two camps. Akintayo, the Chairman of Gtext Holdings and a Forbes Business Council member, believes this saga holds key lessons for gospel artists navigating record deals.
To ensure transparency, Akintayo has called for a meeting that will include Mercy, her husband Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, copyright lawyers, and auditors. The goal is to go deep into the financials of Mercy Chinwo’s deal with EeZee Conceptz.
But there’s a twist. Akintayo also advised EeZee T to lay low online for the next 30 days, no more public statements, no more Instagram sermons. He says, “Let love and mercy lead.”
