American comedian Druski is under fire from Nigerians for a controversial video that many have labeled offensive and perpetuating harmful stereotypes.

In the sketch, Druski dons traditional Yoruba attire, adopts the name “Tunde,” and plays the role of an “African scammer,” making mock calls about money transfers and celebrating with champagne. His caption, “African Scammers be living the best life,” has further fueled outrage.

Nigerians quickly condemned the content, arguing that it unfairly reinforces negative stereotypes and insensitivity towards the Nigerian community. Critics emphasized that such portrayals contribute to damaging narratives without any basis in reality.
