Popular Nigerian skit maker Denilson Igwe has revealed the severe challenges he’s faced since parting ways with the Mark Angel Comedy group. Speaking on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Igwe shared that his social media accounts were hacked the same week he left the comedy collective in 2019, causing his online presence to stagnate completely.
Mark Angel Comedy, a channel that exploded in popularity since 2013, boasts over a billion views and nine million subscribers on YouTube. The channel, led by Mark Angel, has featured various comedic talents, including Emmanuella and Igwe.
In a controversial twist, Igwe alleged that his hacked YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram accounts have been in limbo since 2019, neither gaining nor losing followers. “They hacked my YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram pages the week I left Mark Angel Comedy. Since that time, I was told to do something I do not understand but the pages do not go forward or backward. Since 2019 till now, the social media pages have not added one follower. It is just there like that,” Igwe stated.
Adding fuel to the fire, Igwe previously claimed that he is the true founder of Mark Angel Comedy and accused Mark Angel of monetizing the channel without his consent.
