Nollywood actress and media personality Toke Makinwa has revealed that singer D’banj is the only Nigerian man who has ever given her “free money” without expecting anything in return.
In a viral video alongside the singer, Makinwa recalled how D’banj, also known as the ‘Koko Master,’ pledged N10 million at her book launch and sent the money the very next morning.
“D’banj pledged N10 million at my book launch and sent it at 8:00 am the next day. He never asked for anything in return. The only Nigerian man who has given me free money,” she said.
Makinwa added that, unlike D’banj, many Nigerian men who make similar gestures often expect to go on dates with her in return.
