Nigerian comedian Deeone has publicly demanded transparency from Verydarkman regarding funds donated to his newly launched NGO. Verydarkman, who started the project a few weeks ago, aims to improve the education and lives of secondary school students across Nigeria.
The initiative has gained significant support, with high-profile contributors like music producer Don Jazzy and many others helping raise substantial funds soon after the organization’s account was created.
Though Verydarkman’s efforts have inspired widespread backing, he has also faced some online criticism. He assured supporters that his focus remains on making a positive impact and encouraged continued support for the cause. However, Deeone recently raised concerns in an Instagram video, pointing out a lack of updates on the NGO’s progress. He issued an ultimatum, insisting that Verydarkman provide a public account of the donations' use, emphasizing that the funds are meant for community benefit, not personal use.
Deeone also hinted that some celebrities may be reluctant to speak up due to personal ties with Verydarkman, calling for open accountability in the spirit of transparency.
“VeryDarkMan I gave you one week to round up everything you are doing about the NGO and get back to Nigerians just the same way you came out to beg for money. That money is not for personal use.
“Verydarkman needs to be held accountable. The reason many celebrities are quiet is because he has their secrets. He begged publicly for the donation and now wants to live a private life,” he said.
