Sevilla’s new player Chidera Ejuke has made a name for himself as the best dribbler in La Liga. In just four games, he has successfully dribbled past his opponents 17 times, according to the latest stats.
The Nigerian forward joined Sevilla on a free transfer after his loan spell at Royal Antwerp from CSKA Moscow, signing a three-year contract with the Spanish club.
Since his arrival, Sevilla's coach García Pimienta has included him in every league match, except for the one against Las Palmas. Despite playing in only four out of the first five games, the 26-year-old has outperformed some of La Liga’s biggest stars in dribbling.
The Punch reports that Ejuke’s 17 dribbles put him ahead of Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Junior, as well as Barcelona’s young talent Lamine Yamal. Mbappé and Yamal have both completed 16 dribbles, while Vinicius has 13. What’s impressive is that Ejuke has achieved this with much less time on the field.
Ejuke has played just 265 minutes so far, averaging a dribble every 15 minutes. In comparison, Mbappé and Yamal have each played over 430 minutes in five games but haven’t managed to surpass Ejuke’s dribbling record.
