Chelsea has reached an agreement to sign 17-year-old Sporting Lisbon winger Geovany Quenda in a deal worth £40 million. The young talent is set to sign a seven-year contract with an option for an extra season.
Quenda, a Portugal U-21 international with three caps, will not join Chelsea until 2026. Known for his speed and dribbling skills, he has scored two goals and provided eight assists in 43 appearances since breaking into Sporting’s first team.
Chelsea is looking to strengthen its attack, and Quenda is seen as a promising addition to the squad. He was previously linked to Manchester United, where his former manager, Ruben Amorim, could have reunited with him.
