Chelsea have given up on their pursuit of Napoli star Victor Osimhen and are now focusing on Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion.
The Blues had been in talks with Napoli for several weeks, discussing a possible swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku and a significant amount of cash. However, the negotiations were slow and complicated, causing frustration.
Despite the Osimhen situation, Napoli remain interested in Lukaku as they aim to satisfy new coach Antonio Conte. However, they need to sell Osimhen before they can invest in a new striker.
Paris Saint-Germain are still contenders for the Napoli striker and Arsenal could return to the fray too. There is interest in Saudi Arabia, but the 25-year-old is not convinced by the idea.
