Grammy-winning artist Damini Ogulu, known as Burna Boy, has been named the biggest Nigerian artist of all time on Apple Music, according to a recent announcement by the streaming platform.
To commemorate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day, Apple Music released a list of the top 10 most-streamed Nigerian artists and songs on its platform. Burna Boy secured the top spot, followed by Wizkid, Davido, Rema, and Asake. The list also features Tems, Omah Lay, Fireboy DML, BNXN, and Olamide.
In terms of individual songs, Rema’s "Calm Down" remix with Selena Gomez emerged as the most streamed Nigerian song ever on Apple Music. Other top tracks include Burna Boy's "Last Last," Wizkid's "Essence" featuring Tems, and Burna Boy's "Ye."
Additionally, Apple Music highlighted Nigeria's diverse music scene by spotlighting nine Afrobeats stars from various regions, including 2Baba, Omah Lay, Odumodublvck, and Seyi Vibez.
