Two Nigerian Correctional Service officers have been suspended due to allegations surrounding Bobrisky's imprisonment.

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board suspended Michael Anugwa and Sikiru Adekunle, both deputy controllers at the Kirikiri Medium Custodial Centre in Lagos.

The suspension followed a voice note from Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, claiming Bobrisky's godfather and the Controller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service arranged for Bobrisky to serve his six-month sentence in a private apartment after being convicted of abusing naira notes in April.

Additionally, Ogbule Obinna, an officer at the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Afikpo, Ebonyi State, was suspended for taking a convicted inmate outside the facility. Iloafonsi Ikechukwu, deputy controller at the Kuje Medium Security Custodial Centre, was also suspended for allegedly receiving money on behalf of an inmate.

The board's secretary, Ja'afaru Ahmed, stated that the suspensions allow for further investigation, ensuring the outcome will be made public upon conclusion.
