Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has revealed that alleged harassment from Nigerian politicians prompted his relocation to a country where his female identity is legally recognized.
In a TikTok live session, Bobrisky expressed frustration with Nigerian senators and ministers, accusing them of focusing on his personal life instead of governance. He questioned their priorities, asking, “Imagine a whole minister leaving work to focus on Bobrisky. Am I that important?”
Bobrisky emphasized that in his new country, his gender identity is legally acknowledged, a recognition he believes would never occur in Nigeria. He stated, “If I lived in Nigeria for 100 years, they would never put ‘female’ on my passport or driver’s license. But here, I am respected for who I am.”
He also hinted at plans to expose seven Nigerian celebrities he claims to have dated, criticizing the prevalence of “fake people” in the country. Bobrisky declared, “The time is coming when I will list seven celebrities I have dated in Nigeria. The time is coming when I will expose fake people in that country.”
These revelations have sparked discussions about the treatment of individuals challenging traditional norms in Nigeria and the broader societal implications.
