Former Big Brother Naija star, Francisca Owumi, has passed away following a brief illness. The reports that Francisca, who was the runner-up in the first edition of the BBNaija reality show in 2006, died on August 29, 2024.
Her family announced her passing on social media, stating, "A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen."
Francisca was known for her energetic dance moves during her time on the show, where she competed alongside other contestants like Katung Aduwak, Gideon Okeke, Ebuka Obi Uchendu, and Maureen Osuji. After the show, she briefly ventured into the Nigerian music industry, releasing singles such as “Diva” and “Gbadun You.”
