The housemates began the game by successfully identifying their partners, but things went wrong when it was Shaun's turn. The Shatoria pair, Shaun and Victoria, ended up being the only duo to lose in Thursday's Arena Games on Big Brother Naija: No Loose Guard.
The game, which started at 6 pm, involved a lighthearted challenge to test how well the housemates knew their partners. Each contestant, while blindfolded, had to identify their partner from a group of five selected housemates within 10 seconds.
Everything went smoothly until Shaun’s turn. Faced with the choice between number three, his partner Victoria, and number five, Wanni of the WannixHandi pair and his love interest, Shaun was confused. When Big Brother insisted he make a choice, Shaun picked Wanni instead of Victoria.
This mistake highlights the Shatoria pair's struggles, as they fall short of the "dynamic duo" requirement this season. During their diary session on Wednesday, Shaun expressed his frustration about his connection with Victoria, saying, "I feel like me and Victoria, we think differently. That’s why I’m always with Wanni." Big Brother advised the pair to focus on the game and set aside their differences.
In his opening interview at the start of the show on Sunday, July 28, 2024, Shaun claimed that not even the grand prize would make him leave Victoria. However, his actions suggest otherwise.
