Barcelona will go up against Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-finals, while Real Madrid will take on Real Sociedad, according to Wednesday’s draw.
This marks the first time since 2014 that Spain’s top three clubs have all reached the semi-finals, with Real Sociedad also making it to the last four that year.
Barcelona, who hold a record 31 Copa del Rey titles and last won the trophy in 2021, will host Diego Simeone’s team in the first leg before traveling to the Metropolitano Stadium for the return match.
Atletico Madrid, currently second in La Liga and one point ahead of Barcelona, last won the cup in 2013 and have lifted the trophy 10 times in total.
Meanwhile, reigning Spanish and European champions Real Madrid, who have won the Copa del Rey 20 times, will visit San Sebastian for the first leg against Real Sociedad before hosting the return leg at home.
Real Sociedad, the Basque team, have won the trophy twice, with their most recent victory coming in 2020.
The first legs of the semi-finals are set for February 25 and 26, while the return legs will be played on April 1 and 2.
