Ayra Starr is on fire, and the world is taking notice. The Nigerian music sensation has won the 2025 Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Award for Best International Act.

The ceremony went down at the Utilita Arena Newcastle, marking the first time the iconic MOBOs touched down in the city. Hosted by comedian Eddie Kadi and media personality Indiyah Polack, the event celebrated the very best in Black music and culture, honoring talents across Hip-Hop, Grime, R&B, Soul, Reggae, Jazz, Electronic/Dance, Alternative, Gospel, and African music.

For Ayra, this win is just the latest milestone in an already stellar year. Recently, she graced the pages of Blanc Magazine's “Rule The World” issue, where she opened up about her journey to the top and the pivotal role her family and friends played in building her confidence.
