Ayo Maff has released his debut EP, “Maffian,” a 7-track project that follows the success of his single, “Last Week.” This new EP carries the same gritty and unapologetic vibe that was introduced in the single. Born Ayorinde Mafoluku, Ayo Maff is from Bariga, a Lagos neighborhood known for producing Afrobeats stars like Olamide and 9ice, who Ayo credits as major influences on his music.

“Maffian” showcases Ayo’s raw, street-inspired sound, especially in tracks like “A BEAUTIFUL SONG,” where he boldly states, “I be gangster, I no be loverboy.” His lyrics reflect the struggles of a young man forced to grow up quickly, yet determined to achieve greatness. In the track “Are you there?”, he confidently asserts, “I’ve been here before I was born.”
