Arsenal are preparing to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window, with reports from Italy’s TuttoJuve suggesting that the Gunners are ready to trigger his €75m (£61m) release clause. The North London club is expected to submit a bid of around £65m to secure the Nigerian forward.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in top form this season, contributing 22 goals and five assists across all competitions. He added to his impressive tally on Sunday, scoring twice—including a penalty—in Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa.

Arsenal Facing Competition for Osimhen

The Nigerian striker was a target for several clubs last summer, with Chelsea coming closest to signing him before the deal fell through. Now, Manchester United and Juventus are also in the race, but Arsenal are keen to finalize the move quickly to avoid losing out.

Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reports that Arsenal are attempting to hijack Manchester United’s pursuit of Osimhen. With a year left on his contract, Napoli are unlikely to keep him, and he is not expected to return to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this summer.

Why Arsenal Want Osimhen

Arsenal have been searching for a reliable centre-forward, especially after injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz during the second half of the 2024/25 season. Mikel Arteta is determined to strengthen his squad, believing that Osimhen’s goal-scoring ability could provide the firepower needed to compete at the highest level.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Arsenal will push to secure Osimhen’s signature ahead of their rivals.
