Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been shortlisted for the ‘Boxer of the Year’ award at the first-ever British Boxing Awards, set for March 28, 2025.
Joshua, who started the year with a win against Francis Ngannou but lost to Daniel Dubois in September, shares the nomination list with fellow British heavyweight Tyson Fury and other top names like Josh Kelly and Lawrence Okolie.
In the female category, Ireland’s Katie Taylor leads the nominees after defending her super-lightweight crown against Amanda Serrano. Other nominees include Savannah Marshall, Natasha Jonas, and Caroline Dubois.
The event, hosted by boxing legends Ricky Hatton and Nicola Adams, will celebrate achievements in the ring and beyond, including awards for Coach of the Year and Outstanding Contribution to Boxing.
“This is a landmark event highlighting the talent driving British boxing,” Hatton said.
