Boxing giant, Anthony Joshua has climbed to third place among boxing’s top earners, just behind Tyson Fury and Canelo Álvarez.
In his September fight against Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium, Joshua earned a guaranteed £6 million. With additional pay-per-view (PPV) buys, his total earnings could reach over £25 million if buys hit 850,000.
Tyson Fury tops the earnings list, reportedly making $100 million from his heavyweight fight with Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in May. Mexican star Canelo Álvarez is in second place, having earned $35 million for defending his super middleweight title against Jaime Munguia at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, according to boxing journalist Dan Rafael.
Joshua’s high earnings show his strong position in the world of boxing, where huge paydays and record-breaking contracts are now common.
