Adekunle Gold thanks Olamide for career breakthrough

Popular Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold recently took to social media to express his gratitude to rapper Olamide for giving him a pivotal opportunity in his career. Olamide, who founded the YBNL music label in 2012 following his second studio album, signed Adekunle Gold in 2015. Under YBNL, Adekunle Gold released his debut album titled “Gold.”

Reflecting on his journey, Adekunle Gold shared the cover of his debut album on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday and thanked Olamide for his significant role in his career development. He wrote, “Thank you @olamide for giving that young graphic designer the chance to not only design the YBNL logo but to be a part of your family.”

Adekunle Gold has since moved on from YBNL after his contract expired, but he continues to acknowledge the crucial boost his career received from Olamide and the YBNL family.
