Dr. Doyin Okupe, a former presidential spokesperson, has passed away. His death was confirmed on Friday, March 7, 2025, according to reports from Sahara Reporters.

Okupe previously served as the Director-General of Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign but stepped down after being convicted of money laundering.

After the 2023 general elections, he resigned from the Labour Party and later became a strong supporter of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

His passing marks the end of a political career that spanned several administrations, where he played key roles in government and public affairs.
