Nigeria’s Super Falcons have retained their 36th position in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking released on March 6, 2025. The team remains the highest-ranked women’s football team in Africa.
Following Nigeria on the African ranking are South Africa’s Banyana Banyana (53rd), Morocco (61st), Zambia (62nd), and Ghana (66th).
In their recent matches, the Super Falcons secured back-to-back wins over Algeria (2-0 and 4-1) but suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to France. Despite the loss, they continue to dominate African women’s football.
On the global stage, the United States holds the top spot, followed by Spain in second place and Germany in third. England ranks fourth, while Japan completes the top five.
