Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has once again taken to the streets, demanding justice for the late singer Mohbad, who passed away under unclear circumstances on September 12, 2023.

Fabiyi organized a peaceful protest on February 27, urging young Nigerians to join the call for accountability. The demonstration started in the Alausa area of Lagos and moved to the state police command in Ikeja. Protesters carried a banner reading Justice for Mohbad 2025 as they marched.

The protest follows a recent ruling by a magistrate court in Yaba, which dismissed charges against Naira Marley, Sammy Larry, and Prime Boy—three individuals previously linked to the case. However, the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has announced plans to prosecute Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, and Ayobami Sadiq, one of his friends. They face charges of reckless and negligent acts under Section 251 (e) of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.

Ogedengbe was earlier named the prime suspect in Mohbad’s death. According to Lagos Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa, she administered multiple strong injections—including tetanus toxoid, paracetamol, and ceftriaxone—at the singer’s residence. The injections reportedly triggered a fatal reaction.

Fabiyi, a vocal advocate for justice in the case, has consistently called for transparency in the investigation.
