Bose Ogulu, the powerhouse behind Burna Boy’s global dominance has been nominated for Manager of the Year at the 2025 Music Week Awards.
The recognition, announced on Wednesday, February 26, puts her in the same league as some of the industry’s biggest management names.
The ceremony, which spotlights top-tier players across the music business, is set to go down on May 8 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London.
Ogulu, a major architect of Burna Boy’s international takeover, will be up against heavyweights like Alistair Goldsmith, Neil Hughes, and Wes Banton for the coveted title.
This isn’t her first rodeo—she bagged Manager of the Year at the 2022 Artist & Manager Awards, solidifying her status as a formidable force in the industry. With a background in foreign languages and translation, plus a deep-rooted family history in the arts (her father, Benson Idonije, once managed Fela Kuti), Ogulu has built an empire that extends beyond Burna Boy’s career.
Under her guidance, Burna Boy has headlined global arenas, stacked up Grammy nominations, and inked major deals that have pushed Afrobeats further onto the world stage. Through Spaceship Collective, she’s also been instrumental in developing and supporting African artists navigating the global market.
The Music Week Awards, an industry barometer for excellence across labels, live events, and management, selects its winners through peer voting and an independent panel.
With Ogulu in the mix, it’s another moment for Afrobeats to flex its dominance in global conversations.
