Media personality Solomon Buchi has sparked debate by suggesting that dating and the “talking stage” should be abolished, arguing they lack biblical foundation.
In a video shared on his platform, Buchi emphasized that in biblical times, men approached marriage with clear intent, without prolonged courtship phases. He stated, “Where in the Bible have you seen someone say I want to know your daughter. I want to get into a talking stage with your daughter. Men were very intentional. They move with intention: ‘I want to marry you.’” Buchi believes that modern dating practices have unnecessarily complicated relationships. His remarks have ignited discussions on the relevance of traditional courtship in contemporary society.
