Rapper Kanye West has publicly called upon former President Donald Trump to pardon fellow music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently incarcerated. Diddy faces over 30 civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault and misconduct, and is awaiting a federal trial on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. West’s appeal was made via a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he wrote, “@realDonaldTrump, please free my brother Puff.”
Diddy was arrested by Homeland Security in September 2024 and has pleaded not guilty to the charges. His requests for bail have been denied twice, and his trial is scheduled to commence later this year. Recently, he was hospitalized in Brooklyn for a knee injury but has since returned to custody.
This is not the first time West has shown support for individuals facing legal challenges; in 2016, he publicly backed Bill Cosby amid his legal issues.
