GehGeh claims Grammys use Davido for hype, not awards

In a recent discussion, self-proclaimed financial adviser GehGeh shared his perspective on why Nigerian music star Davido may never win a Grammy award. Following Davido’s loss at the 67th Grammy Awards, GehGeh suggested that the organizers often use prominent artists for marketing purposes rather than awarding them.

He argued that the Grammy is often given to those who are indifferent about it, while artists who actively desire the award are repeatedly snubbed. GehGeh further claimed that Davido and Wizkid’s nominations are primarily used to attract Nigerian and African audiences to the event. He also linked this pattern to other global stars like Nicki Minaj, claiming that she has been used similarly to generate interest in the awards without winning.
