Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has expressed his views on the use of physical punishment as a means of correcting children.

During a recent appearance on the podcast “The Honest Bunch,” Bovi emphasized that children should not be subjected to physical harm, regardless of their actions.

Bovi questioned the effectiveness of physical punishment as a corrective measure, suggesting that it may be driven by frustration rather than a genuine desire to teach.

He encouraged parents and caregivers to consider alternative approaches to discipline.

“I don’t advocate for beating children. You should let children be. When you hit a kid, are you really trying to correct them or are you frustrated?” he said.
