Timaya has opened up about his decision to remain unmarried despite his successful music career.
In a recent interview with Naija FM, the singer revealed that marriage has never been appealing to him, though he admitted his stance might change in the future.
"I’ve never been a married guy right from time but it can change because marriage ‘dey craze’? I just look at it like if I marry today, would I be able to get out? In all my previous relationships, I was the one who got out because I don’t like stress,” he said.
Timaya attributed his reluctance to marry to his desire for freedom and his aversion to stress. He also highlighted the importance of open communication in relationships.
"If you have a problem with me, let’s talk about it because I don’t like going to bed thinking about things, I go die o. I don’t like anything to bother me at all,” he added.
The singer also spoke about fatherhood, explaining that while his children live with their mothers, they share a strong bond. He enjoys spending quality time with them during their visits, describing parenting as both stressful and rewarding.
