Michael Kayode, a 20-year-old fullback for Fiorentina, has been named the Best Italian Talent at the 2024 Golden Boy Awards.
Born in Bergamo to Nigerian parents, Kayode began his football career at Juventus' youth academy. He later joined Fiorentina in 2021 and quickly made a name for himself in the youth leagues.
Kayode's impressive performances earned him a spot in Fiorentina's senior squad. He made his Serie A debut in August 2023 and helped the team reach the UEFA Conference League final.
Kayode has also made a mark on the international stage, helping Italy's U-19 squad win the UEFA European Championship and making his U-21 debut against Norway.
