Sean "Diddy" Combs is spending Thanksgiving behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, where he awaits trial on serious charges.
The 55-year-old rapper faces accusations of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied all allegations and pleaded not guilty.
On Thanksgiving Day, inmates at the MDC follow a strict schedule. Breakfast is served at 6 a.m., with a menu including fruit, cereal, and pastries. Lunch, served at 11 a.m., features turkey roast or hot and sour tofu with traditional Thanksgiving sides like cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and gravy. A holiday pie is also included. Dinner at 4 p.m. consists of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potato chips, and fruit.
Combs' lawyers have previously criticized the prison food, with one attorney, Marc Agnifilo, stating that it is "probably the roughest part" of his client's stay. Another lawyer, Anthony L. Ricco, mentioned that the music mogul is "making an adjustment" to life in custody.
Diddy remains in jail after being denied bail multiple times. A federal judge ruled that no conditions would ensure public safety if he were released. Proposals from his legal team, such as house arrest with private security or confinement on a private island, were dismissed by Judge Arun Subramanian, who cited concerns about the seriousness of the charges and the reliability of such arrangements.
Diddy’s legal battle continues as he spends the holiday in one of New York's most notorious detention centers.
