Femi Adebayo’s epic movie Jagun Jagun shone brightly at the 2024 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, taking home six awards.
The 16th edition of the BON Awards was held on Sunday night at the Sugar Factory Film Studios in Ilorin, Kwara State. The event was hosted by popular actress Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi.
Jagun Jagun dominated the night, winning in categories like “Best Actor,” “Best Costume,” “Best Indigenous Film,” “Best Production Design,” and “Best Special Effect.”
Another big winner was the film Momiwa, which won awards for “Best Editing” and “Best Screenplay.”
The Netflix Yoruba film Jagun Jagun, released in August 2023, tells the story of a powerful warlord whose authority is threatened by the arrival of a young warrior. The movie was nominated in 12 categories.
