Nigerian filmmaker and producer, Dimeji Ajibola has reportedly passed away.
He was the producer behind the popular series Shanty Town.
He died on Sunday, after battling an undisclosed illness, leaving a void in the Nigerian film industry and among his global fans.
His colleague, Samuel Olatunji disclosed this, Tribune reports.

His 2012 film Hoodrush, Nigeria's first urban musical film, demonstrated his skill in blending narrative with music. Hoodrush earned numerous accolades, including Best Movie at Germany's 2012 Green Me Film Festival, Best Actor and Soundtrack at the Nollywood Movies Awards, and Best Supporting Actor at the AMAA Awards.
