US music heavyweight, Nicki Minaj has confidently proclaimed herself the “Queen of Rap.”
The rapper, known for her hit song "Anaconda," made this declaration when asked about her Halloween plans. “The same thing I was last year…The Queen of Rap,” she replied.
This bold statement has generated mixed reactions on social media. Minaj has had ongoing rivalries with other female rappers regarding who deserves the title of the best female rapper.
Despite being the best-selling female rapper globally, Minaj has never won a Grammy. Earlier this year, she believed she had won her first Grammy after the Recording Academy’s official Twitter account mistakenly announced that her song "Barbie World," featuring Ice Spice, had won the Best Rap Song category instead of Killer Mike’s "Scientists & Engineers."
