Nollywood star Regina Daniels recently addressed the buzz surrounding her statement about having “20 boyfriends” before meeting her husband, Ned Nwoko. In a viral TikTok livestream clip, Daniels shared her experience of having several admirers when she met Nwoko, dispelling the misconception that she had “no choice” in marrying him at 19.
She explained humorously, “I had like 20 at the time. One to buy me water, one to buy me chewing gum, one to drive me around. So when people think I didn’t have a choice, it’s crazy.”
Following social media reactions—including some from her husband—Daniels clarified her remarks on Instagram on October 30, 2024. She emphasized that having many male friends doesn’t mean owing them intimacy and shared her commitment to remaining abstinent until marriage, calling it “a big flex.”
To reassure her fans, Daniels added, “Come on, it’s Regina Daniels. Of course men and ladies would admire me. So everyone chill pls.”
