Nigerian skit artist Crazeclown is celebrating the evolution of the skit-making industry, asserting that it has grown into a significant cultural force. In a recent interview with Hip TV, Emmanuel Ogonna Iwueke, known as Crazeclown, reflected on the journey of skit-making, noting how it was once dismissed by many as mere online fun.

“I just love the fact that skit-making is becoming a big industry now,” he stated. “It takes a lot of work, creativity, and intellectual capacity to keep creating and evolving. I’m seeing people from skit-making branching into music, movies, and shows.”

Crazeclown rose to prominence in 2014 with his comedic skits alongside OG Tega, where they humorously exaggerated the typical Nigerian parent-son dynamic. As skit-making gains traction, is it finally earning the recognition it deserves?
