Victor Osimhen has claimed his first Turkish Super Lig accolade shortly after joining Galatasaray.

The Nigerian striker’s stunning goal against Kasımpaşa was voted Goal of the Week by beIN SPORTS, earning an impressive 77.96% of the total votes.

Osimhen, who netted his first goal and added a second to complete a brace, showcased his attacking prowess. However, his efforts weren't enough to secure all three points for the Turkish champions, as they surrendered a three-goal lead, allowing Kasımpaşa to salvage a draw.

The 25-year-old's standout moment came when he volleyed home with his left foot after receiving a pass from his former Napoli teammate Dries Mertens, doubling Galatasaray's advantage to 2-0.

Despite missing pre-season due to transfer delays, Osimhen has quickly established himself as a key player for Galatasaray, contributing to goals in all four of his appearances for the club. So far, he has tallied two goals and four assists in his short time with the Lions.

Currently sidelined due to an injury picked up during a league match, Osimhen missed the Europa League clash against RFS in Latvia on Wednesday. Fortunately, his injury is not considered serious, and he is expected to return to action soon.
