Award-winning comedian, actor, and master of ceremonies Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, famously known as Ali Baba, has made a bold statement addressing women dealing with insecure partners.
In a post shared on his Instagram, the comedian reacted to a viral story about a man who pressured his wife to resign because her earnings surpassed his, revealing his insecurities.
Ali Baba questioned the credibility of such stories, urging women to recognize these manipulative narratives. He humorously suggested that if a woman out-earns her husband, it’s the man who should quit his job, not the other way around.
Criticizing what he termed as "lazy bumcums" promoting such outdated stereotypes, he sarcastically asked why a woman earning N10 million a month would sacrifice her career for a man making N1.5 million.
