Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Luis Enrique expressed his satisfaction with his current squad on Thursday, downplaying the likelihood of more signings before the transfer window closes next week.

PSG has already spent around 175 million euros ($195m) on four players this summer but has yet to sign a new striker to replace Kylian Mbappe. The club's all-time top scorer, Mbappe, left for Real Madrid after his contract ended.

In addition to Mbappe's departure, PSG faces another setback as Portugal forward Goncalo Ramos was injured in last week's 4-1 win against Le Havre in Ligue 1. Ramos, who suffered an ankle injury just 15 minutes into the season opener, is expected to be sidelined for three months after undergoing surgery.

“Unfortunately Goncalo picked up an injury. It is a blow, but we still have a very good team and I have full confidence in the players in my squad,” Luis Enrique told reporters on the eve of PSG’s first home game of the campaign, against Montpellier on Friday.

“The president (Nasser al-Khelaifi), (sporting director) Luis Campos and I are always open to improving the squad but it is very, very difficult to strengthen the team that we have.”
