Nigerian singer and former BBNaija winner Laycon has publicly addressed DJ Neptune regarding unpaid royalties for their joint track, "Nobody (Icons Remix)." In a recent post on X, Laycon expressed frustration over not receiving compensation for the 2020 collaboration.
Laycon took to social media to voice his concerns, highlighting that DJ Neptune has not fulfilled their financial agreement despite the song’s release four years ago. He urged for accountability in the music industry, emphasizing the importance of honoring agreements.
Laycon’s post read, “Abeg o, DJ Neptune, how about the agreement and split for the ‘Nobody (Icons Remix)’ song? It’s been 4 years. Is it still pending?”
As of now, DJ Neptune has not publicly responded to the allegations. The track, featuring Joeboy, was released in October 2020 as a tribute to Laycon’s fanbase, known as Icons.
