Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Wizkid has revealed that if music hadn’t worked out, he would have pursued a career in football. The Nigerian superstar shared his love for the sport and the discipline it requires, noting that he once played on his school’s football team. However, his impatience and aversion to early morning training sessions led him to focus on music instead.
“If I wasn’t doing music, I would be playing football. I play football real good; I used to be in my school team,” Wizkid said.
Despite choosing music, Wizkid expressed his deep respect for football and the dedication it demands. He also mentioned his unique approach to security, choosing not to travel with bodyguards, and instead relying on his close-knit management team, whom he considers family.
