Actor calls for protest on Mohbad’s death anniversary

Nigerian actor and activist Yomi Fabiyi has issued a call to action regarding the upcoming anniversary of singer Mohbad’s death.

Fabiyi in a recent Instagram post, urged Nigerians to attend the next court session of the coroner’s inquest, in order to promote transparency and progress in the case.

He suggested that if substantial developments are not made, a peaceful protest could be organized during his one year anniversary to continue pushing for justice.

He wrote: 

JUSTICE for MOHBAD SOLIDARITY ASSEMBLY IN FRONT OF CORONER INQUEST COURT.

On Friday, 23rd August, all those seeking justice for MOHBAD will assemble in front of the CORONER INQUEST COURT sitting in Ikorodu, Lagos State and every other sittings. We shall continue to:

1. register our SOLIDARITY and SUPPORT to the #justiceformohbad cause

2. demand DETAILED INVESTIGATION, JUSTICE, AND SPEEDY TRIAL

3. secure full recovery of all his estate and have it handed over to his family.

4. etc

On the 12th September(ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY), we will have a MEMORIAL WALK and ASSEMBLY in different part of the world in honour of the deceased singer to pay proper tribute and contimue to register our plights.
