Actor Keanu Reeves has opened up about the motivations behind his new sci-fi novel, "The Book of Elsewhere".
In an interview with the New York Times, Reeves shared that his lack of understanding about the world, death, and love inspired the book.
The novel, co-written with British author China Mieville, follows an immortal warrior on a journey to understand his immortality. Reeves explained that he wonders about the world, technology, and human nature, questioning why people prioritize material things over love and life.
Reeves also touched on his personal struggles, mentioning "father issues" and "mother issues". He believes that creative expression is a way to process and explore these complex thoughts and emotions.
"The Book of Elsewhere" is a follow-up to Reeves' 2021 comic book series "BRZRKR" and offers a unique blend of philosophy, action, and adventure. Through his writing, Reeves aims to explore fundamental questions about human existence and the power of love.
