Nigeria’s Super Eagles have kicked off preparations for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, with six players already in camp.
Among the early arrivals are star striker Victor Osimhen, defender Bruno Onyemaechi, midfielder Papa Mustapha, goalkeepers Kayode Bankole and Amas Obasogie, and forward Tolu Arokodare. More members of the 23-man squad are expected to join soon.
The Super Eagles are under pressure after failing to win any of their last four games, leaving them fifth in their qualifying group.
Head coach Éric Chelle will be looking to turn things around as Nigeria faces Rwanda in Kigali on March 21, followed by a home match against Zimbabwe in Uyo on March 25.
