The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the final list of top five nominees for the men’s categories ahead of the 2024 CAF Awards.
Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman and Stanley Nwabali have been nominated for the Player of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year awards, respectively.
Other nominees for the Men’s Player of the Year include Simon Adingra (Ivory Coast), Serhou Guirassy (Guinea), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco), and Ronwen Williams (South Africa).
In the Goalkeeper of the Year category, Nigeria’s Stanley Nwabali faces competition from Andre Onana (Cameroon), Yahia Fofana (Ivory Coast), Mostafa Shobeir (Egypt), and Ronwen Williams (South Africa).
Nigeria is also in contention for the National Team of the Year award, alongside Ivory Coast, DR Congo, South Africa, and Sudan.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco.
